This November, something special is returning — Triple Giving November (TGN)! Thanks to generous matching donors, every dollar you give to Open Medicine Foundation Canada (OMFCA) will be TRIPLED, up to $500,000.
To make sure more people can take part in this opportunity, we’re extending Triple Giving November through December 2 — Giving Tuesday. That means from November 1 to December 2, 2025, your gift will go three times as far in advancing ME/CFS and Long COVID research.
Open Medicine Foundation’s Research Portfolio
OMF’s mission is to drive and fund global collaborative research that unlocks disease biology, delivers precise diagnostics, and advances treatments—giving every patient a pathway to care and hope. To that end, our research portfolio largely consists of three pillars: understanding clear disease mechanisms, enabling accurate diagnosis, and finding effective treatments.
- Clear disease models from understood mechanisms: OMF’s investigations into mechanisms of ME/CFS and Long COVID range from looking at the disease as a whole to mechanisms of individual symptoms of the disease. These results help give us insight into potential treatments, either disease-modifying or for symptom management.
- Accurate diagnosis: OMF aims to identify new tools or clinical tests that can be used to objectively differentiate ME/CFS and Long COVID, including various potential subtypes, from diseases with similar clinical presentation.
- Effective treatments: OMF is pursuing effective treatments for ME/CFS and Long COVID from multiple angles, including those that contribute to personalized medicine and disease-modifying treatments.
What to expect during TGN
This year, during OMFCA’s TGN we will be sharing a series of interviews with OMF’s Directors, each focusing on the bigger picture and drawing connections between research findings. Keep an eye out for an exciting set of videos spread over four weeks of TGN:
- Nov 11: Ron Davis, PhD and David Systrom, MD
- Nov 18: Jonas Bergquist, MD, PhD and Alain Moreau, PhD
- Nov 25: Chris Armstrong, PhD and Wenzhong Xiao, PhD
- Dec 2: Panel discussion with all of OMF’s Directors
We’ll be sending an email on November 1 with ways you can support OMFCA during TGN—our most impactful fundraising event of the year. Together, we can triple the progress toward understanding, diagnosing, and treating ME/CFS and Long COVID.
