OMF’s score of 100 serves as an indicator of trust, demonstrating our longstanding commitment to ensuring accountability, transparency, and measures of financial health, including stability, efficiency and sustainability.
Open Medicine Foundation Canada (OMF Canada) was established to support medical research for patients suffering from multisystem chronic complex diseases, with collaboration between patients, clinicians and researchers. We do that by raising funds and applying those funds to research projects conducted at qualified donee organizations, like those listed further below.
OMF Canada operates in conjunction with Open Medicine Foundation (“OMF”), an established charitable organization headquartered in the United States with congruent objectives, and which assists in the administration of the charitable activities and programs of theOrganization. We also make use of the OMF Scientific Advisory Board and Collaborative Research Center Directors to assess research proposals and recommend to the OMF Canada Board of Directors which proposals to fund.
OMF Canada received Charity Status from the Canada Revenue Agency on June 6, 2019. We launched our relationship with the Collaborative Research Center at CHU Sainte-Justine /Université de Montréal on December 11, 2019.

OMF’s international community —
united by a shared commitment to find answers to end ME / CFS and related multi-system chronic, complex diseases (msCCD).
Please help us expand our research efforts across the globe.
Every donation brings us closer to a fully funded research effort and the answers we all seek.
"Our donors want to stop millions from suffering and have come to expect research with impeccable credibility. The time is now to attract the kind of serious investment that will speed up our search for a cure and end these debilitating diseases."
Linda Tannenbaum, OMF Founder & CEO/President
